Snake Scare

I was at home by myself just doing some chores and taking care of Lily. I walked into the bathroom to find a snake on the floor! It slithered into the air vent under the sink. I freaked out and ran into the living room. I was walking on my tip toes all day because I knew it could be anywhere. Finally, about three hours later, I almost stepped on it again in the hallway. I ran into the kitchen and grabbed a big bowl to trap it inside. And I was successful.

Bryce still wasn't home yet so I stacked some heavy bowls on top to make sure he couldn't get out and waited for him to get home. It seemed like forever, but finally Bryce was back to save the day.

He put some gloves on and was prepared to face the scary snake. To his surprise the snake was a lot smaller than I made it seem.
Yes I know the snake was tiny, but it doesn't matter because it was inside my house! So disgusting and so scary. Laugh if you must, but just think what you would have done.

Bear Lake Trip

So it is a tradition on the Smith side of the family to go on a family campout each year. And this year we went to Bear Lake!! My parents just recently got a time-share up there and we got to benefit from it this summer. We enjoyed boating, swimming, playing on the beach, and hanging out as a family.

We bought this really cool portable bed for Lily and it worked AWESOME! It folds up really small and it takes two seconds to set it up. She slept in it the whole trip it was pretty amazing.

We had so much fun playing on the beach. Here is a picture of Chris and Lily kicking it under the canopy. She loves her uncle Chris!

You haven't fully experienced Bear Lake until you have had one of the amazing raspberry shakes. We all went to get shakes on the night before we went home. DELICIOUS!

We had some fun burying the little ones in the sand. We turned Anna into a giant bug. She was loving it!

We spent some time around the fire talking and hanging out, and one night we decided to do smores. Bryce found a bag a marshmallows that had all melted together and he thought it would be a good idea to roast all of them together. That was one BIG marshmallow.

Lily went swimming for the first time while we were there. The pool was freezing so she didn't love it, but she was a trooper.
