Easter Sunday 2012

Easter was so fun this year with our sweet Lily Bug. Mommy went a little over board, as usual, with the gifts. She loved her little piggy and she looked so adorable in her Easter dress. We went to church and it was amazing, and then we headed over to my parents house for an Easter egg hunt.

My parents had eggs all over the yard, and they were filled with all sorts of goodies. Lily had so much fun finding them and putting them in her basket.

She loved to shake the eggs because they made lots of noise, but mostly she just put them in her mouth.

We had lots of fun celebrating Easter with my family and even got a few shots of the boys with Lily. Oh how I love all the handsome men in my life.

Lots of Snowboarding and Even a Little Skiing

We were able to go snowboarding quite a bit this year. It had been awhile for me because last year I was pregnant with Lily, so I wasn't able to go. So, needless to say, it had been way too long!! We went a few times with Becca and Brad and even a few of Becca's friends. Brighton is the resort we usually go to because it is so cheap to go night boarding. Becca and I were able to catch on to the whole "carving" thing, which made snowboarding so much more fun!! I even jumped a few times which was awesome! The half pipe was more like a quarter pipe this year, so I would just shoot out of it. So Sweet!!

Fun Times in the Lodge

Bryce bought these Geigerrig bags at Costco, and they came with these cool passports that had free ski passes in them. So we took off work one day to go up to the Canyons. It was seriously so nice up there!! We are used to Brighton, which is great and all, but the Canyons is so awesome. We went on a day that was so warm we didn't even have to wear our coats. I was going down the mountain in a shirt and snowboard pants. Incredible.

We had such a fun day up at the Canyons, and we even got some sun tanning in while snowboarding. I know I have never done that before. Awesome!!

The weather was warming up and the snow was leaving us, so we knew we had to go on one last trip before the season ended. So we headed up to Deer Valley. Now those of you who are familiar with the resorts in Utah might be laughing right now because apparently Deer Valley is only for skiing. We didn't know that..... So as we parked the car and started unloading our gear we thought it was strange that we couldn't see any snowboards. We asked the nice guy in the parking lot and he told us it was ski only. So luckily he gave us some free passes because Bryce thought we had passes to Deer Valley in our passports, but we didn't. We had to spend quite a bit to rent skis, plus I had never gone skiing before so I had my work cut out for me.

We had the brilliant idea to start out on the big hill, and it wasn't pretty. It literally took us about an hour and a half to get down the stupid mountain. After many falls, tears, and cuss words, I finally made it down. We took a long break and ate some lunch and then decided to try out the bunny hill for awhile until I figured the whole skiing thing out. It was so much easier! Who would have thought right? We had a blast on the bunny hill and I really started to get the hang of it. I don't know that I would ever want to do it again, but at least I can say that I have been skiing before.

This snowboarding year was a blast and I am sad to see it come to an end. I can't wait until next year when I can strap on the snowboard again!

Saint George Trip

My mom really wanted to go down to Saint George over her Spring Break, so Tara asked the Weinerts if we could stay in their house for a few days. They were so nice to let us use their beautiful home. We brought the kids with us, which was fun, but also a little crazy! They were packed in the car for the drive up and they did really great. We just plugged some movies in for Davis, and Lily was a trooper.

We were really hungry when we arrived in Saint George, so we went to the Pasta Factory for some yummy food. By the time we got home it was time to get the kids ready for bed. They took a tub together, which is always fun, and then we put them down. We stayed up and talked for a bit, and then decided to get some sleep.

The next day we decided to do some shopping at the outlets. I got some really cute clothes for Lily, and I even found her a new swimming suit. Davis got a little fussy so we weren't able to stay out for very long, but we still got some great stuff. Later on that evening we went to visit my cousin Vicki. It was so nice to see her and her cute family.

On our last day there we wanted to take the kids to the pool. So we got the house mostly cleaned up and ready to leave and then we hit the pool. It was so fun with Davis and Lily. They both just love being in the water, and they were total goof balls together. It was way cute!

When we got home from the pool our aunt Betty came by to see us. It was so fun to talk to her and for her to see the kids. We headed home after Betty left, and the kids did great on the drive. We got home pretty late, but Bryce was there to meet us (I think he was lonely while we were gone). It was such a fun trip!
